Warteg is a short term for Warung tegal, it is how Indonesian people named for street vendor, a small restaurant that serve different kind of menu but with budget price. This type of omelete is commonly found in street vendors (warteg) along the street in Indonesia, especially in Java. Yet rather than make it thin as normal size, it's much thicker. Usually they serve it as a side dish to accompany rice and vegetables.

Ingredients
- 5 eggs (from chicken or duck)
- 2 tablespoons fresh/dry grated coconut
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 2 stalks spring onion
Spice paste
- 6 shallots
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 red chillies
- 1 bird's eyes chilli (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
1. Whisk the eggs slowly with fork but do not do it until it's foamy
2. Grind or blend the spice paste. Then put in a bowl and mix it with grated coconut, rice flour and spring onion.
3. Add the egg into the mixture.
4. Heat the oil in non-stick frying pan the fry the egg with low heat.
5. Cut into pieces when served.
